The EU might “act quickly and firmly” in response to what it deems “unjustified” travel bans imposed by the US on five European individuals working on fighting online hate and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted figures who have been at the heart of campaigns to introduce legislation governing US-based technology firms.
